Eric LaFleur

Eric is board certified in Family Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Less than 1% of attorneys in Texas are board certified in Family Law.

For the past 10 years, Eric has focused his practice on handling all types of family law cases, including: divorces, custody modifications, child support, grandparents' rights cases, paternity and enforcement suits.  Before becoming a family law attorney, Eric worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Collin County prosecuting misdemeanor and felony criminal cases. In his career, Eric has tried approximately 75 jury trials and many more bench trials.

Eric grew up in Beaumont, where he graduated from West Brook High School.  Eric then attended college at Texas A&M University, and law school at the University of Texas.

Jennifer LaFleur

Jennifer graduated as salutatorian of Hanks High School in El Paso, Texas 1993. She then attended The University of Texas at El Paso and received a B.S. in Biology with University Honors and an undergraduate research thesis in immunological studies.  She was also named the Top 10 Senior in her graduating class. While in college, Jennifer did extensive DNA and immunological research as part of numerous research grants.  Jennifer then attended the University of Houston School of Law.

Jennifer began her career as an Assistant District Attorney for Collin County. While at the District Attorney's Office, she prosecuted misdemeanor crimes including DWI, theft, and assault/family violence, trying more than 70 jury trials. After the District Attorney's Office, Jennifer worked as an associate at a downtown Dallas law firm, Nichols, Jackson, Dillard, Hager & Smith, L.L.P. where she continued serving as a prosecutor for several municipalities and also began her civil practice. Eventually, Jennifer left Nichols, Jackson to establish the LaFleur Law Firm and devote herself full-time to the practice of family law.

Since then, Jennifer has handled family law cases of every type, including: divorces, custody modifications, child support, grandparents' rights cases, paternity and enforcement suits.  In addition to her general family law experience, Jennifer has experience handling cases involving Child Protective Services.
